Anti-Counterfeit Policy

At Verified Electronics, we recognise that counterfeit components present one of the most significant risks in the electronics industry—impacting operational safety, regulatory compliance, and the reputation of global manufacturers. Our business was founded on a commitment to combat this issue and protect our customers from supply chain vulnerabilities.
We have implemented a multi-layered anti-counterfeit control system aligned with AS6081 and other industry best practices. This system is under continual refinement and includes the following pillars:
1. Vetted Supplier Network
We maintain a controlled and continuously audited network of suppliers. These include:
  • Franchised and authorised distributors
  • OEM-approved vendors
  • Independent suppliers who meet strict traceability, quality, and audit criteria
New suppliers are subject to onboarding controls, including reference checks, sample orders, and quality documentation review before they are permitted to supply production stock.
2. Third-Party Independent Testing
To ensure product authenticity and performance, all non-franchise or open-market sourced parts undergo third-party testing at accredited laboratories such as:
  • GETS Test Lab
Depending on customer request, testing includes:
  • Visual inspection (per IDEA-STD-1010)
  • X-Ray and XRF analysis
  • Decapsulation and die verification
  • Solderability testing
  • Curve trace and functional test
  • Marking permanency testing
All test results are stored in our internal quality management system and can be provided to the customer for traceability and audit purposes.
3. Full Traceability & Documentation
We retain full traceability documentation on all purchases and sales, including:
  • Supplier invoices
  • Date codes and lot codes
  • Certificates of conformance (where available)
  • Test report (where available)
  • Chain of custody data
This information is catalogued by part number and retained for a minimum of 7 years.
4. Internal Staff Training
Our procurement and quality control teams undergo regular training on:
  • Latest counterfeiting methods
  • Risk signals and screening techniques
  • AS6081 / IDEA-STD-1010 standards
  • Regulatory obligations (e.g., DFARS, ITAR)
5. Customer Protections
Should a customer discover any counterfeit or suspect product, we:
  • Immediately quarantine remaining inventory from the same lot
  • Launch a root cause investigation
  • Notify affected customers and offer refund or replacement
6. Zero-Tolerance Policy
We enforce a zero-tolerance approach toward counterfeit goods. Any supplier found to have provided suspect or fraudulent parts is permanently removed from our approved vendor list and reported.
Our commitment to proactive counterfeit mitigation ensures that customers of Verified Electronics benefit from one of the most robust screening systems in the distribution market today.
